What's on your "Bucket" list??

I guess all of us have things we'd like to do or see
before we stand before the Pearly Gates.

One of mine is fly in a seaplane. For my 60th b-day,
the Mrs is taking me on a seaplane to the island of
St Croix for 5 days of fun and relaxation. Seaplane
back as well.

What's an item on YOUR Bucket list?

For real, my #1 item on my bucket list is to finish my XKE and drive the thing!

Having worked in St Croix, and having spent hours watching the sea planes go in and out that may not be far off. I'll spare Dale the details :smile:

First on the list is to finish the TR3 restoration. That should be done by the end of this summer. Next, a trip to England and Belgium. England so I can vist the Morgan factory, and Belgium because I'm a beer guy and want to visit all the Trappist breweries! :thirsty:

Visit the islands (Solomon, Fiji) where my dad was stationed in WW2.

Fly a small plane or gyro, low and slow, around the USA for a year, visiting family, friends, and former students.

Meet Greta Garbo.

Arrive at the Pearly Gate and hear St. Peter say I arrived too soon.

then come back home to start adding more things to the bucket list!

Already accomplished a few:

Spent 6 months traveling across the Pacific Northwest, Canada, & Alaska in an RV with just an MGB for off-RV transportation.

Visited every occupied continent on the planet except Africa (it's next).

But I need to postpone the 'bucket' at least until I've taught my grandson how to build an engine!

(& I really want to drive the Crow Mountain Hill Climb!)

Visit Australasia, the only continent I have not set foot on.

See Wales win the Football World Cup.

Sing a solo in concert successfully.

See the Eagles win the Super Bowl.

Visit Australia, New Zealand, and Fiji.

Shoot a bogey golf round anywhere (but preferably at St. Andrews).

Get to drive a McLaren Can-Am car.

Live to dance at all my grandchildren's weddings.

Take my wife for a dogsled ride with an Iditarod team.

I don't have a bucket list. However if I were to make one out, one thing that comes to mind, and I'd have to act pretty quick on it for my sake.

I retire in 5 years 5 months...

I wanna take what ever SCCA car I have at the time and work my way back from California.

That, and I'd like to buy my Grandfather's Aronica Champ from the guy who has it now.

An Aeronca Champ that used to be in your family, and you manage to bring it back? Now *that* is a noble act indeed. Those are great planes ...

Two drives:

First: the road around Iceland. Ideally take one of the LBCs on the Ferry (Shetland, the Faroes, then Iceland & back) then the very scenic route around the coast.

Second: Europe Top to Bottom, The Ferry to Norway and up to Nordkapp at the furthest north then down through Finland, Russia, the Baltic countries, Poland, Czech Republic, Austria, Italy, France, Spain to Gibraltar at the furthest South. Probably take a couple of months though.

DeltaAir, My daughter's done that and had her photo taken with him and had him sign a copy of his book for me. A true gentleman.

I would hire someone to come to my house and do ALL my laundry (Ironing included) so I could work in the garage all day and not feel guilty about ignoring my house.
