pierogies from Yocco's

Wow!

I have mum-in-law's "PIR-oh-Hee" inna freezer. Had some she just "threw together" as a casual dinner last weekend at her place.

Friday night orders for 'em at a local Ukranian church in Ambridge, PA are a fond memory, too.

Eastern European ravioli!! :smirk: I'll eat at LEAST a dozen at a sitting, given half a chance.

Roast Beef Poboy from Frankie and Johnny's uptown New Orleans. Dressed (that means lettuce and tomatoes), gravy and on Zip bread. Ate them sittin on the front porch in the hood, the Irish Channel.

While watering my son's front garden, local neighborhood dude with his pants below his butt asked me if I would give his Pit Bull a drink from my water hose. No problem. Only in the Big Easy.

YOU DOG!

Frankie and Johnny's is one of my all-time favorites down there.

Truly an experience. And Liuzza's, and Manale's, and Mother's, and...

and Manale's,

Ah, Pascal's Manale and their famous Barbecued Shrimp!

Crikey - I am feeling a little out of place here being a vegiterian and all.

Guys - that's chopped up cow you're eating ya know! Oh - the humanity (or cow-manity)!

Rosted red pepper & mushroom risotto, asparagus, and hommous & sliced carrots crudity, all washed down with a nice Australian Shiraz. Better than dead bovine IMHO.

I took the other half to one of the local buffets here. One can have anything one wants in this place. Bieng its Friday Night I myself had a few helpings of various types of fish and toped that off with a goodly sized helping of shrimp Along with mashed taters and gravy and a portion of all the various veggies served. Then a few nibbles of various fruits for desert. AND .......... Yes ......... I ate wayyyyyyyyy too much. But it`s all good! I`ll live to do it again next Friday Night.
They even had slamon, but I had to steer clear, for some reason I can`t eat it, It makes me sick, although I do love the taste I just can`t handle it coming back up shortly after eating it.

Y'all are killing me! I had a ham sandwich and a diet Mountain Dew in the car while barrelling down I-81 on the way to Roanoke.

swmbo and I took a drive to Taylors in Oakland City. A little roadhouse with only have 3 things on the dinner menu. Ribeye, Porkchops, and Ham steak. All cooked over a wood fire. the ribeyes weigh about a pound and a half each, almost everyone leaves with a doggy box. The best part was the tab, 2 steak dinners and a couple of beers each, was $50 including a generous tip to our favorite waitress.
