A few friends invited over for shrimp, crab, oysters
Stilton, other cheeses, finger foods, nice crisp wine,
Coquito eggnog, Norway smoked salami, Norway smoked salmon,
red and black caviar and the Violist from the PR Symphony.
(With Wendy on dulcimer!!)

and many crackers..................

What's eatin' up your way, New Years Eve?!!

d

Maybe a rack of ribs if I feel like getting them prepped the night before. Otherwise it's oodles-of-noodles for me.

Usually like Dale with assorted cheeses, shrimp, sausage rolls, mini quiche, things like that, however not this year with Carolyn working. I will probably be in bed before midnight.

Turkey leftovers...

(from the freezer, but <span style="font-weight: bold"><span style="font-style: italic">still </span></span>having to clear it all out....)

pork roast, sauerkraut, smashed spuds, black-eye peas... some kinda greens and a salad.

CABs.

...and likely will miss "midnight" for hiding under th' bed with th' cats.

Traditional here:

New Year's Eve: Champagne.

New Year's Day: Black-eyed peas, ham hocks and cabbage!

Soup made from Christmas dinner left overs...

Hey Doc try some champ instead of just smashed spuds

For me it doesn't get any better then roast pork and 'kraut.

Doc, do you put the 'kraut under the pork while roasting?? A can of beef boulion and some caraway seeds in the 'kraut...roasted with the pork...that's the best 'kraut you can eat.

Now, as far as the CABs go...I only drink good beer...never the cheap macro brews.

Happy New Year to all.

Eve? chili and cornbread

Day? ham, black eye peas, sweet taters, cornbread, apple salad

I have no creativity ... besides, another blizzard on its way ...

Ummm... yup. th' 'kraut is a "bed" for th' pork. Some caraway is involved, but ya gotta understand there are Ukranians involved too. :smirk:

New Year's Eve is a working night for me -- though with the current economic climate I was lucky to get a gig this year. It's an early show this year, so my drummer friend and I will take the wives out for dinner after the show.

Will be fun, but it's an outside show (at a ski resort in Park City) -- hope the stage heating is good!
