Hello all,

I have never been able to establish the exact year my Mini was born. If I supply the VIN below, will anybody be able to tell me what year it is?

VIN: SAXXL2S1Sxxxxxxxx looks about right for a 1990 Mini. So basically, you've got a car that is illegal to import into the US without being brought into compliance with DOT and EPA regulations applicable to the year of manufacture. I'm assuming that someone has done something slightly less than Kosher in order to get it across the border! Hope the Feds don't catch up to you.
