Liljohn, glad to hear you got what was owed, sorry to hear you got "RIF"fed. :frown: But because of that, you should qualify for unemployment. And have no ill feelings on collecting that, it is YOUR money after all. It came out of your paychecks while you were working.
Earlier you said all you've ever done is construction and at one time were an installation supervisor. Remove the filters "construction" and "<whatever it was you were installing>". Consider your skills and not the particular industry. "Installation Supervisor" meant you managed people? Project management? Construction means you know how to build or make things? And if you can build it or make it, you can fix it. If you can build it, make it and/or fix it and since you have Supervisor skills you can lead/teach/manage a team to do the same.... I hope this makes sense. It's like saying "I'm a perch fisherman and there are no more perch". You can also catch Snapper, Tuna, Mackerel, etc. Apply anywhere and everywhere. Don't pass over a place because you think they wouldn't look at you or everyone ELSE has already applied there. They just might be looking for YOU.
