Having moved from the lowcountry to the mountains of WNC I find that my timing on my '59 bugeye seems to be way off.It misses on a hard pull and backfires downhill. What is the timing on the engine?...pure stock.

6 degrees advanced.

Jack..........being new to this game....where exactly do I attach the clips for the timing light? Ya say it should be 6 degrees advance? Thanks.......looking at your pics mine is the same old english white with the 948cc engine.

Power clips to battery.

Other one on number one sparkplug led, should be a spring thing to attach between the sparkplug and the plug wire, the third timeing light wire attaches to the spring.

Unless you have one of those inductive ones that only needs to go around the plug wire.

Old english white for the win.
