GT6 What size can we fit

Hi all, we are doing a Spit6 and using the GT6 roto flex frame and getting a few things together for the change. Rimmer had a shock tower conversion for the rear, saved cutting out and welding in the bracket off the GT6 inner fender. Or making one, which is time consuming on a one off type bracket.
I had a set of TR7 rims that he liked and other than a little grid of the front caliber that fit will work. Our question is, with 5 inch rims can we run a 195/60 or will this be too big and hit the frame when turning? Might get away with a staggered set up. Anybody tried this?

Thanks Andy, that is a big help. One less thing to crowd the gray matter.
I talked to James on the Sport Six and will get together with him shortly for you information.

The frame is cleared and ready for paint. I want to do a two part epoxy primer, we will see now what his mind set is on budget. He did tell me to get the prices for all new brake parts, that was a plus and time saver.

Big problem I have is the wife looked at a TVR last night, hard top coupe, looks like a fat TR7, no offence wedge heads, and it had to be red. NOW WHAT?
