Hello all,
Went to look at the newest addition to the family at the garage where it has been sitting, to check into the rims he had there to replace the yellow ones on it now. (ick) He has two type there, and can not remember which ones he took off of this car. It has been 3 years. One set is the spoke type, painted red, but peeling off, and the other set is like the ones on Tony's GT. Which ones belong on this beast, or should I grab both pairs? I won't have a lot of room here though.
Thanks

Rostyles (they're pressed steel and look like they have four "spokes". Should be silver and black painted). They were the standard MGB wheel, at least Stateside, from about 1970 till the end of production. About the only exceptions to this were the Limited Edition alloys (which, IIRC, were standard Triumph Stag wheels!). Knock off wire wheels were always an option, but never standard (although the were certainly popular, at least early on).

It could have originally had either painted wires or black and silver rostyles. If they bolt on it was the rostyles

Yep, Rostyles....all 1247 that came over here had Rostyles

Thanks. The Rostyles it is then. They looked dusty but looked in great shape. If the wire rims are the right ones, I will grab them too, but the paint is flaking off and they look kinda crappy.
