Decided to start up the diassembled Bugeye I purchased last year to see if it was any good so I could transplant it into my $500 Midget.
GAS SUPPLY: Took a paint can placed on top of radiator with a gas tank 1/2 full of gas from a riding lawnmower on top of paint can, held on by a bungie cord, hooked up gas line to weber.
BATTERY: placed in proper location and hooked up cables
IGNITION: took dist. cap wires coil spark plugs from Midget installed in bugeye
IGNITION: ran a jumper from battery to coil
A splash of gas into carbs and took the screw driver (key) snd shorted to starter switch. It was cold last night so it took a couple of trys but it crank and started fine
ran the engine for 45 min and it held 40 psi oil pressure
