No, boss, not a condition other than the human condition. Lobe switching, eh (reminds me of radar)? When viewing the spinning object there first appears to be one direction of spin. Changing direction is [in my understanding] a feature of the Optical Illusion. I do not know whether a shifting of lobes in the brain is involved. It could indeed be part Cognitive Illusion if you have an expectation that it will change. For me the synesthesia phenomenon lies within my mind, a congruence of multiple senses. Some instances; In addition to various other factors, my numbers can be colored or opaque (2 or 3D with or without movement]. I can do some math using color only. I am able to remember phone numbers, measurements etc. in color. Sound carries textured color in addition to nuanced vibrancy. Music is an arrangement of textured kinetic color/sound. Words can also share both texture and color. So go the days of the week, months etc. These are simplified examples that may seem fantastic yet are an integral part of my thought process. I surmise that many of you have some blending of the senses, though not nessesarily in the same fashion. We all think differently. This is but a slice of how I interpret my environment of thought... Otherwise, of course, I am plain as day, run of the mill, normal [well, kinda]...I just felt this might be interesting or illuminating to some of you.
