What kind of battery?

Hey, guys. Well, it looks like my MK III Midget's battery is on its last legs. So, what kind of battery are you folks using? Do we use "group 26" for these cars?

It would be nice to find a smaller one that wouldn't be so heavy.

Anyone?

I think i use a large lawn tractor battery from sears. Fits in the hole....The only thing that kills it over time is the foolish memory wire to the radio.

Check your phone book for Interstate batteries in your local area and ask them if the carry a 22NF. The 22NF is what your car calls for!

here are my notes from when I bought my battery:

51r too big
22f hard to find
26 good

I would have to check my car, but I think I bought a 26.

I had to loosen my heater to get the old battery out.
