I was trying get my carbs set right when
I heard something fall and hit the concrete
floor under my engine.

I found this unknown part.

What is it?
Where does it go?
What is it's function?
Where can I buy another since
this one look kinda rusted.

My guess is electrical. Did I knock
it off the dizzy maybe?

Thanks,

dale

Dale, that's the flasher unit for your hazard lights and is on the left fender wall at the top, just in front of the fuse box.

You don't need it anymore and I'm sure you knew that.

Dale: that looks like a spy bug of some kind. I believe it is the way that Pedro continues to send negative vibes to Amos. Hurry and disconnect it, dip it in holy water and bury it in consecrated soil! :eeek:

I am sure after completing this ritual, Amos will be healthier.

What's the matter with you guys?????? Let's get serious here.

You all know that is the coil pre-heating unit!!

How do you think those things get so nice an warm so fast?

Yup, I found just one.
It fell out of somewhere in my engine compartment.
It hit the floor kinda directly below the exhaust
manifold.

A 9/16" socket dropped out last week. My car is full
of surprises.

My turn signals and 4-ways are round cans in my PowerBlock.

I guess it coulda been something from the Pedro era.
None of the running lights, head lights, turn signals,
4-ways or gauge lights were functional until I rewired
the car.

Odd thing Frank. I returned home from a project at about 3:00 PM
this afternoon and Pedro's maroon Dodge Caravan was parked near my house
with Pedro just sitting there.

Curious, indeed!

Dale, you should have snuck up behind his van and put a banana in the tailpipe!

Not wanting to concern you but, um, that does have a STRONG resemblance to a Q37 Space Modulator...... IF you drop it, there will be an earth shattering KA-BOOM! We surely don't want an earth shattering KA-BOOM!! And be on the lookout for a short little green guy named Marvin......

The Mythbuster guys debunked the banana-in-the-tailpipe story......

And with Amos healthier, Dale will be wealthier, and Wendy will be happier!!

Dale, maybe he'd like to buy it back now that you've fixed it forum (Tee Hee)
A cool $40,000 Canadian sounds about right

Just throw the thing in the trash and forget about it.

Looks like a Jeep part to me.

AAAGH!!! That'a a Lucas Gremlin in it's Larve stage!!!! Get it away from the car quick!!! It's already starting to oxidate! look at it's fangs! If it get's too close to the wiring, it could suck out all your conductive smoke within hours!
Good catch Dale. those things don't usually just fall out on the ground. they usually need to be carefully tracked down, then forcably extracted from thier nest.
That was close.....

Dale-

If a 5/8" deep dish socket falls out next, please mail it back to me. I've been looking for it for about 2 years now!
