TR2/3/3A What is the distance from the rear overider to the body.......

measured from the top of the overider to the body. I've seen a lot of variations on different TR3's depending on what type of vehicle has tapped the bumper.:smile: How big was that space when they left the factory?
 
Mine must have got hit pretty hard in it's earlier life...they measure about 2" away. :grin:
 
They were not known for precision back then. There may be more than one "right answer". The overrider brackets go through a body tube and attach to the frame. If the frame is straight and the body tubes are undamaged, compare the two brackets to see if you can detect and differences. Other possibility is that the contour of the rear fascia may have been "altered". Take a few data points with a straight edge and plumb line.
