What is it?

Ok all,
I have no clue what this is. It is about an inch in diameter. I found it under a flat washer that holds the cardboard splash pan on a 78? MGB I am working on. Appears to be Brass. The splash pan appears to be original and most likely never off the car. Any Guesses?

Chinese coin. I have some somewhere from my brother's coin collection. They had holes in them to string yarn through and carry the coins around their neck.

Ok, that was ez. Wonder what is was doing under that flat washer. It is not very heavy- and was slightly cupped from being tightened down. I pressed it a little between a couple of pieces of soft wood and managed to flatten it back out- mostly.

It doesn't look like the ones on wikipedia....must be a very rare version...
