pulled some parts for the Midget today in Prince Edward County (near Kingston east of Toronto) anyway, I went exploring a little down the road where there was a farm with 4 Citroen DS's in sight - but went one field back and found 12 Renault Dauphine's - all imported (with original plates) there was a company called Feel Good Cars that was going to convert them to electric - as copies? of the Henney Kilowatt car

These aren't really barn finds - more like field finds - Joe (the owner has) just over 100 cars - 1800's Austin/ A35's?/ a few MGB's/ A sunbeam or 2/ an A40 Countryman, some Gypsy's/ Marinas/ Vauxhalls and the list goes on - he also has a trailer full of parts, all of which he wants to get rid of I maght add.

In reality most of the cars are beyond saving - a few of the vans could be restored. There are a far number of parts though - always a good "wander."
 
Just wanted to update you - first the background, my brother lives about 20 minutes from where I got the parts. He, I, his 5 year old son and a couple of friends went to wander the yard about a month ago when I was in town. My brother & nephew took lots of pictures. Last night, we had the family Christmas and had a gift exchange. My 5 year old nephew had drawn my name and among other things had made me a puzzle out of a photo. The photo was the actual Midget I had pulled the parts from - very sweet coincidence. Cheers all /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/cheers.gif
 
Joe's collection is rather legendary in southern Ontario... I read somewhere that he found many of the cars by being a power line worker (or something like that), basically he operated a bucket truck that gave him the ability to see into people's yards to see what treasures they had hidden within...

That Commer motorhome almost sounds tempting, my kind of arcane British vehicle, seems to me that he also purchased a 1960's Commer panel van at some point too.

Oh yeah, anyway you can get hold of those photos? They would be very cool to see...
