So i have Looked in the Books and it states that a 75 Midget is suppose to have electronic Ignigtion. why do both my 75 have the 25D Distributor with Points?
 
Because the electronic ignition that came on the late Midgets was such garbage that MG authorized the dealers to replace with a points ignition system.
 
I can attest to the originals not being the best. I had a 75 Midget that got an Allison after the Lucas unit gave up the ghost. I ran points in the car until I could afford the new electronic unit.

It is a common practice when the originals quit.
 
yeah my 76 has an allison one in it. i can see the dealer doing that. it just thought it was a little odd that both my 75 had points dizzy in them.
