What gives with Sprite emblem?

What years was the Sprite winged emblem put on the bonnett? I see MKII, MkIII and later with the emblem then I see the same years without. Is this due to a rotted bonnett or some other reason.

Another question I picked up a replacement bonnett for my 65 but it only has 2 holes for attachment instead of my 4, what year is this from, I take it it used the hinge instead of the 4 hole? This bonnett also has the proper holes for the Sprite emblem. My original bonnett was so rotted on the front that I cannot tell you what it had. My finished car will have them emblem, regardless because I like it.

IIRC the only Sprite with the winglesss badge was the Mk1, so any later version has the winged badge that you like.
