what fasteners

What are the correct fasteners across the bottom of the rear cowl? How many? My car 61 3000 mk1 has 3 larger holes and a number of other smaller ones. My restoration guide is not giving me what I need to know. My body guy planned to use small aluminum rivets that are peened over by hand. ?

Andrew,
I believe he is correct. Where the rear shroud rivits to the steel hoop at the boot lid closure joint the three large holes are for rubber bumpers about 3/8" diameter and 3/16" high. My car (64 BJ8 ph I) has 13 rivits in this area and 19 rivits where the rear shroud attaches to the boot floor. The aluminum rivits are available from British Car Specialists. Hope this helps and have a good day!
