What does your significant OTHER[TR]want for Xmas

My 56 would dearly love to have the Grill surround thats NEARLY impossible to accquire. So it can smile purtty for all of the Tr officianados out there.
It also needs some tail and park light assemblys.
Both dog leg cappings {the metal pieces}
A new top. toneau, and side curtains
new overriders both front and back.
A new front bumper face bar.
A refurbished {working} temp guage assembly.
A trafficator assembly.
all new interior upholstery including seat covers.
and the list goes on and on.

IF I can talk Mrs' Claus into it, a brother. Maybe a GT6 or a old mini. It's going to take some work.

A post '70 cylinder head for a GT6 would be nice.
Trying to amass enough parts to put together a spare, very tweaked, engine for the '67.

Its funny tho, today i needed to get Whitelightning out for a
sticker shock fillup, then on to a few necessary stops in 33 deg afternoon weather. My discussion with Whitelightning on the way i found out its kinda like tooling around with 'HERBIE'.,It was kinda like DO WE HAVE TO GO HOME!So off we went on an unauthorized long jount,It kinda seemed like Whitelightning was asking for a winter storage partner.
Now i have to ask HOW MANY TR OWNERS TALK TO THEIR CARS.? Or are forthright enough to admit it?,After all thats said & done its a little like having a 'HERBIE'in the garage.;-O

I don't tend to talk to the spit when driving too much, but I certainly talk to her while wrenching on her. Like when a rusted bolt comes off without too much trouble, I'll usually give a "There, good girl!" or slightly less kind words when she's fighting me. The TR3A gets more talk while driving, since she's way too much fun not to tell her so. /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/smile.gif

As to christmas presents, the TR3A would like a new rear end so she can be drivable again. /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/nonod.gif

I talk a lot when when I'm under the car pulling out
buggered up parts, half a$$ed repairs, etc. I have
called DPO Pedro every name in the book and then some.

Amos doesn't care much for DPO Pedro either!

A new diffy would be nice.

Yeller would just like a nice winters sleep and to wake up refreshed and ready to go for the next season. Come to think of it, that's pretty much what I wish for her too.

A TR8 convertible for a Big Brother!!

Re: What does your significant OTHER[TR]want for X

My Herald wants a new owner that will fix him up.

New tires & an owner who IS a Mechanic -
- not one who thinks he is!

Re: What does your significant OTHER[TR]want for X

I'm not sure the BCF server has enough space for me to type everything my TR6 wants. The oil list alone is enough to overload IBM's Blue Gene.

Re: What does your significant OTHER[TR]want for X

My TR3, Izzy, is getting a little sister, a TR10!

Re: What does your significant OTHER[TR]want for X

The TR6 would like it's A/C operating before summer gets here again. -That's been my wish for it for the last 3 years. But now that is has an added electric cooling fan, working top and decent rubber around the doors/windows, it makes a little more sense.

The TR3 would like to have the body seperated from the frame -maybe by New Years.

The TR6 (I don't name my cars, or talk to them, but I do listen when they talk to me) isn't thrilled to have an older brother sharing the garage. It takes too much of his attention.

Re: What does your significant OTHER[TR]want for X

Olive Oyl wants new (pretty) wheels and (larger) tires

Re: What does your significant OTHER[TR]want for X

Not much..just a newly rebuilt engine and, oh, yeah,
an original TR6 hardtop in good conditon.
I'll leave out the cookies and milk --- no fire in
the fire place; promise to stay asleep; be real
good, etc, etc.

Re: What does your significant OTHER[TR]want for X

I'm thinking my significant other (TR) is getting close to my significant other (wife). What else could it possibly need now? And then I realize, I need to figure out what else would keep it happy?
