Repairable?

Still cannot identify this. I would think this forum would know what it is. Puzzling ain't it.

I'm guessing a car.

Nice. Thanks.

In my totally non existent spare time, I have been eliminating the cracks from my steering wheel. I slightly open / clean out the crack with an X-acto knife and then used epoxy molding compound and a syringe to fill in the crack. Once the epoxy hardens a bit of sandpaper smooths it out and no more crack.
Once I am don't a few coats of paint and it will look like new.
I see no reason why this wheel couldn't be repaired in the same way. Just takes patience.

I Googled the TR3 and the hub is slightly different. Still miffed.

That looks a very great deal like the steering wheel on my 1964 MGB. (That I last saw when I sold it in 1978... so my memory is open to debate....)

I've had a quick Google and it seems that the MGs in the late '60s had such wheels but with just two rods to the wheel's lower rim, but I wonder if the earlier cars might have had three....

I just found an early B steering wheel on Google images. 3 Horizontal & 2 vertical spokes. Still searching.

I asked my LBC Guru about your steering wheel.

Maybe an early Alpine? You know, like the one Ingrid Bergman drove in that movie with Cary Grant?

I measured the wheel to be 17" That's a big wheel.

Still nothing?

I have searched for days and can only say it has all the markings of a Triumph except for the number of wires in the spokes.

The size would indicate an older car without power steering.

I contacted the person who gave it to me said it was always with his MG parts and he assumed it was. This is a real stumper.

There were about 65 Brit cars at a show Sunday and I looked at every one of them. Surprised at the number of replacement wheels. Did not see a TC, but there were TD & TF's, A's & B's.None with that # of spokes. Same for the TR crowd, also Lotus & my SP250. Nothing found. Sure hope you find out soon, it's becoming an obsession.

Yes it is. I told the PO "thanks now I'm OCD about this" I can't let it rest until I find it.
