What does Spiders mean ?

i think it is a simple question for natural english speaking users. If I read on the right side under "Who`s offline" what does Spiders mean ?
I know guests and registered but I know , it is not the small animal with 8 legs... :thumbsup:

Don't think an English dictionary will help you on this one. If you do a search on Google or Yahoo, the resulting hits are spiders. Since it's the web.

Spiders are basically search engines like Google and Yahoo "crawling" the web site and indexing all the pages here.
