What does a Healey rent for?

My neighbor called me last night to tell me that a friend of his may be interested in using one of my cars in a magazine shoot in April. Evidently this guy works for a large ad agency and one of his jobs is securing animals and vintage cars for their clients media campaigns. They would need the car for three days. I would be responsible for delivering it and picking it up every day (just 15 miles away). Don't know whether he wants the Healey or the Jag but I'm hoping he'll pick the Healey. Anyway, I haven't a clue as to what a contract like this is worth. Do any of you? Cheers

Beyond that check with your insurance carrier to make sure there are no exclusions for commercial use, etc.

randynharris, last summer i was called to have my car used by a very reliable agent type that used a car owned by a friend of mine in a shoot unfortunately i had engine trouble and couldnt make the shoot, he explained the fee they would pay was $1500.00 of course im sure this will vary, make sure they cover insurance if something happens to your car, since i wont have my engine back in for two more weeks i wouldnt be able to use my car yet but since he also uses animals ill send head shots. /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/jester.gif

Alas, the ad company's art director decided to use a vintage American roadster instead of a classic Brit car for this ad. He said he'd keep me on file for the future. $1,500 seems astronomical to me. It sounded like their typical payday was $250/day plus expenses. They wouldn't be driving the car - just taking pics. Oh well....
