What do you think of this '67?

Yes, you are wrong...... There are no underside shots of the frame, floors, outriggers ect.... The motor bay is not detailed correct and that wiring seems sloppy! Not original color for this car i would guess! Where are the invoices for the work? who did the work? pictures of the restoration? Don't let the shinny paint and crisp interior blind you.... always inspect vintage cars from the frame up! Not from the paint down! And take a person who knows healeys with you to inspect it.... He is asking too much! And by the way, it is a 63

# Mk. II 2.9 - 6 litre BJ7

-These and a good look up underneath should put one at ease

The edges of the bodypanels look round. Often a sign of the use of bodyfiller
Full restorations without pictures are to be avoided in my opinion.

Looks fine to me. I did notice that the distributor cap seems to be on backwards which could mean something. As far as the Hans had mentioned the rounded body panel edges and, although agree with his conclusion, I could not spot that issue. Drambuie is better prepared to address the engine compartment and I do agree that some of the wire coverings are not correct and somewhat sloppy, however, that would not stop me from purchasing if the undercarriage and drive line frame was in are good shape.

Again, since I am a near-purest, I am not disturbed about the little things. I would be if I were putting out $56K or even $20K.

Good luck,

Could be photo distortion, but second photo from top looks pretty strange. Note how the bottom of the front right wing seems to cut up and in towards the wheel well. Again, could be distortion (or bad body work) but, looking at other photos of that side it definitely looks amiss. I count 6 photos of that side/area, and only one of the left side--seller could be trying to tell you something.

Though not original, the K&N filter setup is nice for real world driving. I have 'pancake' style K&Ns on my BJ8 and I'm glad I do every time I drive through a dust or sand storm.

If you are going to have people interested in a top dollar car, I think you need to start with the history of the car, discuss the repairs done, ownership, talk about the originality, like the colors, pictures of the underside and for goodness sake straightened the front bumper.

I believe this car was on ebay a little while back...check the archives.

what would a 1961 AH BN 7 w/o a motor be worth? Body is fair and has been sitting for about 15 yrs

Sitting in cosmoline, or salt water?

OK, I'll bite. $5-10K, depending on actual condition. If not too rusted, you can part out the body panels and what's left of the drive train and get that much (a decent front shroud could fetch a couple grand alone).
