What did Santa bring you this year?

Offline
Merry Christmas! So what MG stuff did the jolly little fat man leave under the tree for you thismorning?

I had to go to work until 11:30am today so, I don't know what I got yet. Hoping to hear some excitment from anyone. Anyone get a S/C? or a whole 'nother car?

I believe almost any garage tools would count as MG stuff.

Merry Christmas. Up too late last night.. Up too early this morning. Even at 16 and 19.. The dang kiddies have to wake ya up at 7am
I got several car related items. An auto safety kit, 68 differant pieces in one bag. Don't know how they got it in there, but I am afraid to open it up incase it won't go back in. Also, two rolls of Mig wire, Mechanic cloths, (if I don't know what I am doing, at least I will look like I do), and what I think was my wife's best idea... A rubber stress mat for working on the GT out in the garage. Will be fantastic when doing the sanding and finnishing.
If not, it will come in handy when my father comes down with his new wife !!! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/jester.gif

Not exactly a holiday gift but it was presented to me at the MG Car Club - Long Island Centre's Holiday Party. It's my club "worker's jacket". The jacket is earned by helping the club w/ events planning, article writing, working an event... etc. Anything we do to help the club earns points towards getting a jacket. Examples: for helping to direct cars where to park at a show... 2 points. Car Show Planning Chairman... 10 points. When 120 points are earned, you get a jacket. Took me 5 years to earn my first and now 5.5 years later, I have my second. Photo attached

Very Cool David!

Santa brought me a nice Craftsman Mechanic's stackable tool box.

Merry Christmas to all!

Santa brought me a set of ratcheting wrenches, ideal for removing the seats from my B so I can replace the floorpans! And my cat got me a beautiful pair of leather driving gloves, for when I actually get the car on the road. I told her I'd give her a ride in it, but she gets pretty carsick, so she politely declined. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/nonod.gif

Have a great day everyone!

A 'Triton Superjaw' which i have been wanting for a long time, and assorted MG bits. Now i just have to find an opportunity to sneak out and use some of them /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif

The new Ford GT's still at the local Ford dealer,
so I know my Wife didn't get it for me this year.
Actually,we'll do Christmas on Tuesday, when the
whole family comes together from all over the country.

I got...
/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif
some great clothes, a couple sweaters, a couple tops, some slacks, ummm, cologne, a book, a cd, March of the Penquins & a Benny Hill dvd, ummm, ah, a gc to the spa for a massage, a fat Starbuck's gc, a new (oversized) king sized comforter set (that doesn't fit the mother of all king sized beds), can't remember what else. Car-related, an MG 2006 calendar and MG monogrammed floormats that don't fit in the '75 or the '66.

Car-related, dahubby got a parts washer (from da son and wife) these shop lights, ummm, a wrench set (I forget what kind), pry bars, a bench grinder & some bits for it, I don't remember, ooh, and a $100 Moss gc from da dot and her boyfriend.

What we had was a wonderful day with the family, which is all that counts. The kids and their significant others left about 5 (day started here at 8am before 9:00 mass) to do the 'other' side of the families and will be straggling back in here in an hour or two. I MAY be out cold on the sofa by then! I'm exhausted!!!

Car related, Engine Stand, floor jacks, creaper. Good stuff.

Oooh, and a mousepad with a picture of us in Emma on it and a great Sgt. Pepper's Beatle tee.

And a bellyache from way too much food & beverage.

Doesn't matter what I got - what's important is what I'm gonna get.....in May, a GRANDSON!!!

A little excited there Grampa? A boy! Big sales everywhere tomorrow, not too soon to get him his first set of wrenches!! GET BUSY on building that pedal car! May isn't that far off!

Well, I got a '74 MGB GT for Christmas. I got it early, since here in central Florida, Santa has difficulties finding a chimney to descend and we didn't want to give the old guy any additional stress /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/devilgrin.gif

Hay Tony, not to soon to start on an electric MG for the boy to use in the drive way.

By the time he's old enough to drive, he may be required to have an electric MG for the road /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/rolleyes.gif
