How do you think a TR4a would look in this color?

Very nice!! With Panasport rims, That would make a very nice TR4

There was a really slick TR4 on a website for a restorer in Germany or Great Britain last year that was a metallic grey like that. It was slick. Racetorations.com has a metallic grey TR6 on its website. That might give you an idea.

Some people think metallics don't look right on early TR's. I'm undecided.

That Smoke Grey metallic color is my favorite color ever! with black interior or top WOW. Off subject but, saw a '68 Camaro at Daryl Starbird show last weekend in that color and it was unbelievable.

A gentleman in our club has a 4A in a metallic gray. Runs Mini Lites on it. Very nice looking car.

Very nice, lush looking color. Wouldn't put it on a TR3, but a TR6 resto Mod, as they say around here, "Yeah Buddy"!

OK, I'm in the minority. (So what ELSE is new?) But I've noticed a TON of silver/grey cars over the past years. What happened to variety? Even the ~colors~ these days seem drab. They all seem to blend in with the background.

Bring back turquoise and seafoam green and...

Having said that, if the interior is red, that would look pretty good.

Yep, and a red top/tonneau cover!

Your comment got me counting cars / colors on the drive home yesterday and about 20% of the cars were grey/silver. Yes, I need to get a life. LOL.

I dunno, start counting colors at a British car show. My guess is red will win hands down, maybe followed by green, blues, whites, yellows etc. Not sure gray is that common in the old car circles.
