I rebuilt a ribcase using a kit from BV. It worked well for a while, then started popping out of first under acceleration. This eventually chewed up both components of first gear.
I pulled it yesterday and have it apart on the bench. I have two other ribcases for parts but I would like to know what the main reasons would be that would cause the popping out of first gear problem so I can pay close attention to preventing that from happening again. The rest of the trans worked perfectly.
