TR4/4A What attaches to the intake manifold

Hi all
Finally putting the rebuilt carbs (Dana Britton @sucarbs.com). I can't figure out what attaches to the intake boss under the front carb.
Picture attached. It's been many years since I took them off.

As far as I know, nothing attaches there.
 
That's where the throttle linkage bellcrank goes, with the earlier carb/thorttle setup. As Darrell said, it's unused with the HS6 carbs.
