What are these from?

The person in possession of these windows suspects them to be from some sort of MG from around 1948. The fellow doesn't have the car, but somehow a full set of these "peel-away"/removable windows came into his possession.

Not sure if I mentioned this already, but the guy has what I suspect to be the full set. So, there's matching windows cut in the opposite direction for the other side of what ever car these go on. The guy that owns them is also looking to sell these...
 
4-door then?
 
I don't think it's necesarily a 4 door. the two arched pieces could vary well attach to the rear fenders on a small car...

When I first saw them I initially thought TD, because of the year. But I really don't know the body lines and how the tops attach to the older cars well enough to say for sure.

MGTD was late 45-53
Don't know if they are interchangeable.
 
body looks very very similar between all the MGTs... These window panels have what seemed like plexiglass in them... The examples I've found on the web so far (TCs) all have flexible plastic windows... Hard to find pictures of the cars with side windows installed.
 
Steve_S will know. The fixtures and shape look TC to me, but it has been literally over a decade since I've fondled one that intimately.
 
TC....lemme know how much he wants for them....I've been collecting sets.
Oh and their not interchangeable with TD

Not that it matters but I think you meant 49 to 53 for the TD.
 
I know they won't fit my '53 TD

I think they might be interchangable with TA/TB?
 
They look like TC but I will have to look at mine to verify. Even faster, I can send the photos to the TABC list. Maybe I'll do that right now.

And for the record, TC and TD side curtains are not interchangable at all. They also don't keep the rain out. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Rob, is there a patent plate inside the top rail of the front side curtain? If so get me the number and I can verify they are TC.
