Just when I think I've been into every spot in my Healey in the last few years, I found a hidden magnetic key box with all the original keys! Ignition, glove box and trunk. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

A few years back I was going through the many parts that came to me with my car and I opened a Lucas contact points box. Inside it was a bead bracelet (circa 1957) made by the first owner's wife with his name on it. I had previously been in touch with her and returned it.

What a nice guy......although, from what I know about the members of this forum, I would have expected no other course of action. Touch of class though, good move /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbsup.gif

After spending a lot of time cleaning and spraying all kinds of stuff in the frame on my AH after digging it out of the woods I thoght I got all the little nests, weeds acorns etc out of the frame. Just before getting ready to paint I thought I'd try one more time to remove anything in the frame by shoving a long tube from my shop vac into the rear frame and voila, what a surprise a huge mouse nest became stuck to the vac tube. That was my nice surprise.
Just kidding, there were plenty of nice surprises, such as just recently I discovered the problem I had with my left turn signal not operating was just a front flasher bulb twisted in the mounting. Which brings up a question, does anyone use a bulb grease to hold the bulbs securely in their mountings? Johnny

When I bought my 64 BJ8 eighteen months ago, I couldn't get any heat from the heater (plenty from the engine & exhaust). Even with the blower on, no heat. Although you could hear the blower operate, I decided to pull it out of the car. Then, I discovered that an enterprising squirrel had stashed 16 pine cones in the air hose that feeds the blower. No telling how long the previous owner went w/o heat.

One question. Did Steve paint right over the keybox? /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/devilgrin.gif
