What a nice day for a drive in the country

Yup! It's a gorgeous out here in North East San Diego County today. The suns a shinin' the Birdies are a chirpin' and the Bees they are a buzzin'. So what do I do? Why what else - take the my Porsche 928 out for a spin on some of the back roads ta blow out some carbon deposits and scare the crap out of some wild life.

Well the formal excuse that I told everyone was that I wanted to familiarize myself better with some of the roads around where I’m looking to purchase a home near Ramona.

So I jumped in the Shark (after a little preflight of course) and hit the back roads. Started out here in Poway and took the 67 up towards Ramona. A short jog across some empty flat empty roads with farm animals on either side, then San Vicente Rd to Wildcat Canyon Rd past the Barona Casino and dropped down into Lakeside. Very twisty with lots of blind corners, rises & drop-a-way turns as it snakes it's way down through the canyon.

Enjoyed the drive so much – that rather than hop back on the 67 north towards Poway (the boring short cut) I turned around and reversed directions.

The Shark was fun but I bet the MG would've been more fun with the top down working & the gears. Can't wait till it's up & running again.

All & all it was a good adventure.

I hate you.

17 degrees here and Rio is covered in snow taller than she is.

It's nice to read stories like this, reminds me there's a light at the end of the tunnel and that soon enough I can stop pretending to be Dorikin in the snow.
