After 11 months of rebuilding the rear (new brakes, ujoints, springs, pipes, rebuilt brake MC, rebuilt clutch MC, repainting and encapsulating the bay underneath the MCs, and other odds and ends including a LOT of degreasing, cleaning, and painting), I drove my 72 TR6 today! Started right up with no issues. I just had to tell this to the forum. There's nothing like driving a LBC when it's been sleeping far too long. I know it took me a little long, but with winter, no $$$, and learning about how evertything works, it takes time!

Just noticing the difference between the old stuff and new is just amazing! I have learned so much from all of you and couldn't have done it without this forum. Now on to the clutch, body work, front end, and the list goes on, but it's driveable!

Yeah, there's *nothing* like that first drive after a long "sleep". I put a crank in mine a few weeks ago and drove it around the block yesterday....glorious!
And as for all the time we spend on these things.....I like to think that it's so much cheaper than going into therapy.
