I saw that thread, but in this case wood is being used as a homonym - it's common english slang for the results of taking the blue pills referred to in the ad. Ride is another common slang expression, taken in context the meaning should be obvious.

totally missed the engine bay, but one of the best MGAs I've seen its a too pale a blue for my tastes, but if I had to choose it would definitely be a good place to start, if he dropped the price by 2K so I could clean up the engine bay.
