We're catching up to the MG Forum post count

I've been watching the total post counts on the various forums since I joined this fine group and I noticed that we (Triumph) has always lagged behind the MG gang by as much as 10% of the total. In the past four months, there seems to be a great deal of activity on this forum and while the MG group has grown steadily at their normal rate, we seem to be a bit more aggressive in posting, or at the very least, like to talk more.

This pattern may or may not continue and is just an observation on my part. It does show that we are growing along with the interest in the hobby, so that is a good thing as Martha would say.

I'm just grateful that we have this forum to come to daily and once again thank Basil for allowing us to be here.

We may be behind in post count but we lead significantly in number of threads.

It's quality, not quantity that counts!

And I've noticed that several of the diehard MG types have recently either purchased or expressed an interest in a Triumph. I find this interesting.

They've seen the light, Bill. It is a natural progression!

It's a side-effect of Global Warming. I'm drawn to less active areas naturally. /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/smirk.gif

...now if some of you guys would start looking into the Lotus and TVR forums...

You know they share a large number of parts in common, from YOUR cars don't ya?! /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/wink.gif

You want me to become addicted to yet another species? Cruel Dr., very cruel indeed!

That's good news. Now what's an MG?

Let's just remember, all british cars are equal, some are just more equal than others!
I have owned 9 MGs, 5 Triumphs, An english Ford, an Austin Mini, and All I have to say is "it's all good".
Currently looking at some of the 'off brands".

The ~other~ English car in my sigfile, wot belongs to Herself... Hey, I just WORK on it. /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/wink.gif

And here I thought we were catching up because DocE was posting here now. /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/grin.gif

MG.

That's what most teenagers and women think my Triumph is:

"Cool car! What kind of MG is that?"

...and the familiar car parts counter conversation:

Me: "I need a battery for my Triumph."

Counter punk: "Triumph. Did MG make that?"

I posted to the MG forum once. They were nice.

Regards,
