Love the Alpine! I recall watching a Top Gear story on the Alpine and they said the metal is so thin the paint is structural. :D

There is a burgundy Alpine in my area, same era. I've been next to it at a couple of shows and it's stunning. Pity it doesn't draw the crowds that it deserves.
