No real reason as I knew there would be no LBC parts. (In fact there were two - a Jag head gasket and a set of Triumph plug wires) Decided two things.

1. With a couple of major exceptions (Carlisle, Beaulieu -and maybe even them)the swap meet is pretty much going the way of the dodo because of ebay and other internet advantages.

2. North American car parts are really big!! I know that but when you compare a 4 barrel carb to an SU or chrome to chrome - there's a lot of metal there to need to repair and store.

still, holiday here and just nice to be out piddlin'

Careful where you piddle!

A friend of mine who has vended there for years, has told me that he can see a drop in numbers at the Barrie Automotive Flea Market, I wouldn't know as I was last there in 2003 (the year I moved back to Alberta).

I think we lose something when these flea markets decline, I had so many good times doing a random walk around the Barrie Flea Market, even though I didn't have an old car to buy parts for

But there was an atmosphere you couldn't duplicate anywhere else, the internet isn't always a good thing...
