Went for a nice drive yesterday

I have been spending a lot of time tuning my classic mini, so the Austin Healey has been in the garage a lot lately. Our weather has been beautiful, mid 70's during the middle of the day, so a drive was called for by my wife. We picked the Austin Healey to get out and into the foothills (towards Lake Tahoe) :welcoming:to see fall colors. Very nice 2 hour drive and it reminded me why the Austin Healey is my favorite. I am lucky enough to have 3 British Cars. A BJ8, TR3A, and a classic mini. The mini is go cart. Bouncy, you have to shift a lot, and loud. The TR3 is comfortable for about an hour, nice to drive and can go up most hills in 4th. The BJ8, goes up all hills in 4th and is very comfortable, not too loud and the power is nice when you want to go.

Such a nice day, I will have to do this again! Usually I post a message to our club members and sometimes about 10 cars show up for the drive but this one was planned on the spur of the moment so we went by ourselves.
