Went For a Drive on the Blue Ridge Parkway Today

Went North this time.Not too much traffic,& ,in some
places,not a lot of leaves on the trees.Really nice drive though.
I didn't get any pictures on the Parkway,as I was driving.
We did stop at the Roanoke Star,which is on Mill Mountain,just
above downtown (pictures).The lookout is right next to the star,
& you can see most of Roanoke from there.Roanoke is known as
the "Star City",due to the star.

Looking across the Shenandoah Valley to that mountain range beyond. I wonder if there's a road through that other range? I guess West Virginia is on the other side.
