After many, many, many years of looking, watching, lurking, my wife and I found ourselves at the right place at the right time. 1973 GMC motorhome. 55,000 miles +/-, always stored indoors, pretty much original and unmolested. 455 Olds Toronado drive train. Some of you may recognize this as an EM-50, points if you do. We're keeping things as original as possible - yes, the interior is STAYING! This should be fun. There is a very strong following for these and they seem to be well supported. Wish us luck. Can someone give me something, anything to make this an honorary LBC, please, oh please?? :D LoL

Ooo - honourary LBC just because of straight cool factor! well done man!

VERY COOL, PETE! Color me green with envy - as green as that great '70s interior!

So, when can we expect a visit down here in the Smokies?

MASOCHIST!!! :smirk:

I look forward to many sagas involving maintenance, upkeep, and travel; all accompanied by photos.

My sis in law has one getting ready to sell. They were afraid to drive it. Drivetrain was rebuilt, but he isn't mechanical. Then, she painted 3' flowers all over it, but did the interior very nicely. We just had 6 on the St. Louis craigslist that went quick. Congratulations on your find, enjoy. There is a GMC website and forum especially for these and a place here just outside St. Louis (Fenton, Mo.) That has a website for parts just for these vehicles. Brother in law had everything in his favorites for the GMC. They went to a meet once(without the RV) and got scared for the award to the most tows in a year, one guy made a drive in for their MINI in the back.

I figure I should be able to pull a flat bed trailer with our Mini and Minor on it. Mini cross-wise at the front of the trainler and Minor behind it normal orientation. Will have to make sure the weight distribution works.
