Well the new toy is here

What is the VIN?? I used to work on a LOT of these cars, and want to see if it has my fingerprints on it somewhere.

I think that the car would look perfect in that color. Next best is red, but there are a lot done that way.

Jim,
Congrats on your latest acquisition. I think the dark grey metallic looks quite nice on the M-series body. I know several cars done in that type of color and it's quite attractive, in my humble opinion. I believe that car was originally silver blue, wasn't it?

Good luck with the restoration.

Marshall

It's Alan, not Jim, but you are right in the other respect - I have seen some pictures of it in the original silver blue color.
It is bit light for my taste, and since I already have a red car, dark grey it will be...

Congratulations on the purchase! I'm hoping to get going on mine over this winter, if I can get my shop done in time!
Keep us posted on your progress.

Sorry Alan, got confused (I call it a 'senior moment').
Nonetheless, I think you've settled on a great color on the and I'm sure we all look forward to seeing the progress on the car.

Don't worry, I'm going to be pestering you (and anyone else who has one) for pictures over the next few months so I know what goes where!

It's a jigsaw, and I don't even have an edge or a piece of sky right now...

Congratulations on a wonderful choice in car! Looks like a beautiful start.

Cheers,
Steve
