white MGB down in the San Fernando Valley today,

A Ferrari pulled up next to me at a stop light

and

When I looked over at him,

He gave me a thumbs up and smiled
as he was checking out the LBC!

Kind of made my day :yesnod:

Real car folks like all interesting cars, regardless of income level.
 
One day a LONG time ago I pulled my ratty old Sprite up into the parking lot of a McDonald's and parked next to a Lambo Countach (north part of San Diego near the DelMar horse racing track).
As I got out the driver was getting into his car and said (without any apparent sarcasm) "I love those!!" about my Sprite and he drove off.
It was weird to see a Lambo in McD's but even weirder for him to even acknowledge my car.
It was a good day.

I live 2 blocks from Algar Ferrari in Bryn Mawr PA, and pull into their lot from time to time in my Triumph TR3 just to dream. Without fail, the workers and/or customers get chatty and are more than happy to discuss their very high end cars. That's nice for a car person like me because most times their cars are really cool and intersting, but considering the way Ive been treated there without the Triumph kind of spoils those discussions and reminds me why I have stuck with the old Brit cars and people.
