I was all up to put my new battery in today and guess what I discovered. There is no hose on the washer pump, and guess what else I found the hose and its not on the car, not on the little squirt nozzles underneath the dash. Oh, man. I thought I was done under there, all sorted out and wire tied down :frown:. This killed my spirit for the day. Its still cold down there and all rainy outside and I am having a beer.
 
Just enjoy the brew Kim!!! Tomorrow is another day and that isn't THAT hard a job to do anyway!! :cheers:
 
try repairing a totaled fender and see how ur day goes! :wink:

Windsheld hoses easy Kim. You can reach everything with out messing around.

I'll just jump in here instead of making a new post.

So, last year it was noticeable that the driver's side of my Sprite was about 1" lower than the passenger. The rear end seemed to get squirrely over bumps.

Decided to investigate today. Also have a problem with the driver's side brakes rubbing even though the adjuster was backed off all the way...

...3.5 hours later and the entire rear axle is almost entirely apart. I decided that I'd clean it all up, paint it, new brake lines from the body to the axle, etc. When I redo the car (hopefully next year), it *should* drop out fairly easily with all the cleaned up bolts and whatnot. That'll be one less thing to worry about then! Hopefully I can find the cash to just get the whole front suspension reworked as well.

No, Jack. I have to reach up under the dash and its full of wiring, defrost hoses, etc. Got to pull the radio console back loose. I decided to go back and put the heater in and now that is all done except for painting the heads of the bolts that hold it on. That supply vent hose was a bear to get right but now that is done. Got the new battery on charge and hope to put it in tomorrow or the washer hoses, it depends on my mood.
 
Hmmm, wiggle wiggle, can do with a bugeye. Would not have thought you would have any more prob.
 
The newer cars have a lot more "stuff" in the way than the Bugeye, Jack! Still, all-in-all not a "terrible" job, Kim!! :wink:
 
Well, now that is done. I got water and all the electics seem to be working,buuuut, took it for a test run and got it up to temp and the temp gauge still reads cold :frown: I probably did this putting the heater in yesterday. That big air hose made me move that temp line a couple times. That and the fact that the coil housing glowed red hot went it hit the battery last summer. I got to think this one though a bit and see what I am going to do. Hey, I did take some pictures. I will start a new thread for those.
