I couldn't pass it up. It is the best Mark I Cortina GT I have ever seen. A 1966, dark BRG in color. It is owned by one of the USA sales reps for Cosworth Racein (He has to go to the Goodwood Festival of Speed for work).
It has a Quaiffe LSD, NOS windshield, grill, tail lights, full Locort front suspension and steering and adjustable Spax shocks all around. The 1700cc Crossflow dyno'ed two weeks ago with 115 hp at the rear wheels, a pretty good number for a street Ford, probably around 140 at the crank. It has 13" x 6" Compomotive Minilite copys on it too. The interior is redone, and is all the body rubber including rear quarter galss rubber (hard to find).
This is what I wanted my last MK 1 GT to be, but it was just not economical for me to make that one into this one. It was very expensive for a Non Lotus Cortina, but it is a particularly nice one. Some of you in So Cal may have seen it at Crystal Cove, or at Donut Derilicts. It has won awards at shows in Ventura and San Diego.
It really is a great car.
