Welding fun!

Well it finally rained here in Central Texas, so I was able to get out the welder without fear of setting the world on fire.

The passenger side is way too ugly to show... and it is gonna take a bit o' bondo to make things look right on both sides. Still... I am a slightly better welder now than I was when I started this project.

Stole them off of a rust bucket. I soaked 'em in Rust Ease for a couple days. Still, they presented quite a welding challenge.

Great job,
always great to learn a new skill like welding.
Will come in handy over and over again

I stole mine off a rust bucket as well. Not up to the challenge of welding (nor afford a welder) so I had a friend do it for me.

That looks way better than mine.

Looks great! (Warren, yours too obviously) but comparing the two is comparing apples and oranges. I know just enough about welding to be dangerous but I am impressed!

BTW if the passenger side is worse, drive slow in the right lane and no one will see.

Both look pretty darn good actually!
