Welding aluminum water neck

I want to adjust the water neck (return on the engine, to the top radiator hose) on my car and have not found one that has the same bolt pattern that I can use instead. I want the hose to point more direct to the radiator to make more room for an alternator conversion.

1. Does anyone have a source for an adjustable neck that fits our cars?
2. If I cut of the bulb and spout, can a good welder, put it back on at the correct angle with the strentgh necessary?

I really don't want to move the Alternator any more, It is sitting on top of an air compressor.

If you don't have a "Good" welder on your staff, look near our local airport. Most, especially small airports, usually have a cluster of exotic materials welders near them.

I found a guy to weld up and reinforce my front & rear shrouds. He also welded up a multipiece exotic aliuminum radiator cover and shroud.

All he ever charged me was $50 and a 6-pack. I'd give him the $$ and we'd split the pack while he welded.

He also welded up the stainless exhaust header on a BMW for $50 and the pack.

He's gone now... I may have to find another place.

Thanks for the suggestion. I assume that you feel a good welder can make it strong enough, like the original casting?
 
Just a point here that you may like to consider, I rebuilt a corroded connector using a piece of tubing from the wardrobe for hanging clothes on and Lumiweld, the Idea was to use the tube as a former, the only problem was that I did not realize that alluminium had an affinity for the chrome on the tube so it had to stay in position.
