so what is the weight of a 1275 spriget??

Don't know, it varied over the years with the addition of things like door bars etc. My old Haynes manual for the Bugeye listed that at 1860 pounds wet. I'd expect the later MKIII 1275s to come in just under 2000 pounds with their door bars and roll up windows.
