Winter has set in here on the island.

The Mrs. wants the cold weather algae vacuumed
out of the pool on Saturday. So it looks like a
winter coat and warm hat for the Tinster. Outdoor
chores in winter. Imagine that!

Sat nite dinner at a local Cubano restaurant.

Sunday drive to a biker bar- If the TR starts and
If it can make the 20 mile R/T.

Wuz happnin in yer neck of the woods?

FIRST Robotics Competition (Lego League Division).

I'll be a Judge at the NJ State Competition Tomorrow.
Great fun if you're a nerd (I am).

Lego League is the smaller version of FIRST Robotics.
We start building our "big" FIRST Robot (about 130 lbs) in January.

Lego League Robotics kids have cool hats too!

House work. I spent 12 hours last Saturday getting the B running so this is the off week. I have a punch list of things to do. If there is time, I will do some more B work but it's cold out there dagnabit!

In Danish, "Julefrokost" is similar to a Thanksgiving in America except there are many of them. Last weekend was the office. Tomorrow the Alfa Romeo club from the garage at the university is coming by my place. We use different prople's houses every year. Next weekend it's the garage. Later it's the family.

still debating if I wanna motivate myself to get up silly early to drive down to Irvine, CA tomorrow morning.

The afternoon, I'm still debating if I wanna be social and drive out to Santa Clarita for a co-worker's Christmas party...

Also, on the plate of debating countering these to options for tomorrow is sitting around home being lazy, playing video games, messing around with computer stuff, and Christmas shopping.

Let's see...farmer's market at 8, then try to get the lights and other decorations on the tree. Sunday morning in the office 9-12 and an open house 1-4.

then crash!!!

garage won't get above 35-40 anytime soon so sneaking away to do car things is out.

I like your hat, dale.

Rob you wont regret going to cars and coffee. Its worth getting up for even in the winter.

Its the hockey weekend of the year up here. If all goes well the gophers will take a good beating. Unfortunately the new arena is very pc and the days of dead gophers raining down from the stands for ever goal are over /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/frown.gif

I think I am going to take a quick trip to the local junkyard to see if any LBCs have appeared. Then we are going tree shopping, followed by the crippled guy (me) going up on a ladder and try to hang myself while hanging xmas lights in the front of the house, and around the palm trees.

Should be fun, should I survive.

No winter here Tinster, but it feels like it. We had our coldest December day on record (first month of summer). If it's warm enough I hope to take my kids to the beach on Sunday.
Regards
Craig

The fallen oak leaves are ankle deep in my yard. I'm planning an all out assault with the mulch-n-mower. Then I'm going put all my stuff back in the MGB now that it's back from the shop.

Stuff=tools, parts, oil, british flag, The Autoist hat, etc.

Craig, ya need to quit posting those beach photos
of Puerto Rico. I'm certain that beach is Cero Gordo
in Dorado, PR.

9' surf today, won't be many swimmers.

d

Is it Halloween in Puerto Rico? I see you are going as a used car salesman.

hmmmmmm... I got series of unexpected text messages last night that finally ended up with me at my "fashion consultant's" place and staying up till about 3 AM.

Needless to say, I didn't make it to Cars and Coffee this morning.

I'm still contemplating going to a Christmas party/dinner at a co-worker's place later this afternoon...

"Halloween in Tijuana"!!!

...Jimmy Buffett: "Full moon in my eyes..."

Ron, Which yards do you frequent? The side-by-side ones on Benoit Farms Rd., the one on Dwyre Rd.? Got most of the X-mas decorating done Thu. and Fri. Gotta work thru the rest of the weekend and get stuff ready for the begining of the work-week!

Went to see the local high school play since the wife was playing in the orchestra, and played the guitar some to learn "House of The Rising Sun" by The Animals. Almost got the bassline and melody down, so the wife says maybe she can play one of those on the other guitar or on the piano. Resurrected the XM radio, only to find out our new low-loss windows effectively block the signal (go figure, it works better pointing the antenna through the wall than the window!). Ordered some Christmas gifts for my sisters in Arizona, put the battery maintainer on the Midget, brought the camper battery inside from the garage and put the new battery maintainer on it. Enjoyed a couple of home brewskies, and just listening to some music on the now-working XM. /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/cheers.gif

Well I managed to get a nasty cold, so I took it easy this weekend. Saturday I had to work. Managed to bill 12 hours, so it made it worthwile. got out at 4 and had to get the Jeep running so we could haul the trailer to go get a tree before it got dark.( that's about 5 now) I think the Hydraulic lifters have started to give up . But after it finally warms up it runs good enough to get there and back.
Today was the churches big christmas party so I got up early to make green bean cassarole, then ran in early for band practice (we wound up not playing today DOH!) and dident get home till 2:30 then it was setting up and decorating the tree. so now I'm bout ready to crash for the night so I can get up and go to work.
Oh yea, did I mention I'm sick? Wheeeeeeeee!

Ben,

Sometimes you just have to "slow down" a lttle bit.
Hope you get over it quickly.
