Sat. in KC and a high of about 60, the BE is goig to be on the road. I enjoy having the top up and the side curtains while driving. The sterio I have has a couple enclosed speakers over the rear wheel wells and in the winter give a great sound. My 22 yr old son is home from college and we have a couple plans. Again, the driving experience is just fun. A little motivation for all the winter projects to finnish for next yr. My car was tore down for its redo this time last yr. and I missed driving it on the nice dry winter days that weren't to cold.

I'm a fan of the tailpipe blues with the engine in harmony. After all a pair of SU's really make em sing.

I'm with Jack and Jeff.

Me, I'm off in a bit to the garage to clean brake back plates and putter a bit. 60* here, getting to be where we won't have too many more of these days until spring.

Already geting cold here in the mountains. I wish I had my midget on the road to cruise the Blue ridge parkway nearby and look at the colors. They turned out quite well this year despite the drought. I had to settle for riding my motorcyle around and seeing the sights. I rode my bike to work today but it was 36 degrees, a bit nippy.

After the four cyl harmony, I'm 56, so from my youth. Ac/dc to Mr. Jimmy Buffet. It is all good.

Jack, Jeff and Drew have an ear for fine music!! /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/driving.gif /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/cheers.gif /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/thumbsup.gif

Weather's cooling off here in SoCal. Very nice driving weather, mid 60s early afternoon, and cloudy. Engine stays nice and cool. LA is not a great place for Sprite driving, but there are at least a few nice places to go--down the coast or around the Palos Verdes peninsula, for example. I plan to do Mulholland drive sometime, a winding road with great views of the LA basin. But not this weekend--gotta work.

Mulholland drive is nice, and there are lots of other good Sprite drives around LA.
Topanga Canyon, or up into the high country come to mind.

My ~Last Drive~ in the Spridget was a few weeks ago.
Out with some friends for some spirited driving in the Finger Lakes Region of New York (like going though The Bus Stop, three-wide). We don't have radios. Or any other "accessories", for that matter.
Sometimes, in these situations, I hear Flight of the Valkyries or even Baba O'Reilly, but I'm pretty sure it's just my imagination.

Yesterday it snowed (here in northwest NJ) and was about 30F and damp most of the day. Naturally, I spent most of the day outside, under the other racecar. After a while, the damp cardboard I was laying on turned into oatmeal. And a muffler clamp fell off and put a big scratch on my new eyeglasses. I guess if it doesn't kill you, it makes you stronger.
I was doing up the exhaust system on the Escort, so it doesn't fall off during our 4-Hour next weekend.

Last week, I had the top down in the Miata and played the Lynyrd Skynyrd "Greatest Hits" album (and later, "Let It Be"). Not too many more top-down days left in this area.

I may buy the new Eagles CD to play while driving the minivan...if I can stand going to Wal-Mart to buy it (don't we have a Sell-Out icon here?)

I listen to the Freeflow CCs. More of a classical symphony genre.

The SUs are what really gives the "freeflow CCs" their melodic sound. Without them, it just really wouldn't be the same!

Those would be two of the favorites that I sometimes think I hear whistling in the wind/revs!!! /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/thumbsup.gif Ya think it's just imagination? /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/devilgrin.gif

Nice fall shots, Terri. I forget that other parts of the country are still in fall. We're just about ready for full on winter here.

Winter, really. Heck driveing weather just arrived.

80's and 90's all weekend here. A lot of working on the house and little driving. But that's what work's for.

Work to drive... drive to work.

BTW...

My driving mix:

1) "Did I just here pinging?"
2) "Is that something rolling around in my trunk or is my muffler about to hit the road?"
3) "Does that rattle change when I hit the accelerator?"

4) Or my all time favorite: "Holy Crap! What the heck was that?"

Funny Morris!

I actually leave a few loose bits in my trunk to roll around so that when I hear a clunk upon cornering I can just dismiss it as something loose in the trunk /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/wink.gif
