I just re-read the previous thread on this topic and this didn't come up. I ordered this as a spare to fill in another small order. The judging guide does say there are slight variations in the length. I guess there are. Quite a shock when I opened the package. Doesn't seem to work on spare tire door:

Casting seems a bit iron age too. Perhaps I'll drill a hole in it for a key ring.

Don't think I'm supposed to disparage our suppliers but they are in Farmington Hills, MI. I do think the people in Goleta, CA were in the supply chain. And I've made several orders with both this season, all excellent, which is why I was shocked and amused at this.
There are certainly better ones available.
