hi all, it's been a long time. i just got another spitfire and it came with a bunch of new parts. one of them is a weber downdraft set up. it is an eletric choke model as far as i can tell.
all my cars are manual choke. so duh, how do i hook up the ele choke or is there a hook up on the new weber carb to change it to manual?
no the new parts are not "hot", it's just that some of the paperwork is water damaged and can't be read. many thanks, tom

It's probably a DGV type carb. Just hook up the wire to something that is +12V with the ignition in the "ON" position. Then it's just a matter of adjusting it by loosening the clamp screws and turing it. You probably can get a manual conversion for it if you want. I see you live in MN so you may need to choke it even in July /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif ( I used to live in Fairmont)
