Weber 40 DCOE and a 1275

I am changing engines in my frogeye from a 1098 to a stock 1275. The 1098 has a 40 DCOE weber which I'd like to install to the 1275. Obviously the jets and such are different. Does anybody have the info for setting up this weber for a 1275?

Hi Kevin,
You don't say what the existing jetting is on the carbs. There is a good chance that the existing jetting will somewhere in the acceptable range for the new engine. I would give it a try & then make changes if needed.

Nice 104! My dad had one, but I got the frogeye! Go figure... I don't really know what jetting setup I have, but I will try it. It was so long ago when it was running the 1098 that I figure it will need a going thru before running and was hoping to get the boiler-plate setup installled while replacing seals and the like before installing on the newer engine. You're right, it might run just fine.... Dunno...
